The Chorintian Channal is conecting tha Saronic in the South with the Gulf of Corinth in the North. It is 6.3 kilometers long and  was constructed  between the years 1881 and 1893 and was a technological wonder of its time.  To day the channal is almost without commercial importance and is mostly used by lesure boats saving the 300 nm south of Peloponnese. It's quite an experince to sail through the channal (and almost poetic when accompanied by Chopin.
